About Us

After seventeen years in the classroom, I left teaching in search of a fulfilling hands-on career that kept me connected to the outdoors. With my husband's encouragement, we started Mitch's Portable Sawmill. Running the sawmill brought me peace and a deep appreciation for the beauty of wood. Iowa winters led me to expand into the world of woodworking. Tiny Mountain Wood Shop was born and has since expanded with the addition of our laser engraving and finishing studio.

What started as a personal healing journey has turned into a passion for creating hand crafted wood products. Through faith and hard work, God has led me on a path that I never imagined - one that allows me to share my creativity and bring joy to others.
